Sarkar Lab
Tumor Microenvironment Lab
The dynamic interaction of cancer cells with the tumor microenvironment (TME) is crucial to stimulate the heterogeneity of cancer cells, and to increase multidrug resistance ending in cancer cell progression and metastasis. Understanding the underlying molecular & cellular mechanisms governing these interactions can be used as a novel strategy to disrupt cancer cell-TME interaction and contribute to the development of efficient therapeutic strategies. By integrating cutting-edge cellular and molecular biology, bioinformatics, and bioengineering approaches, our lab is investigating the complexity of TME.
